Robert Baker - Partner & Managing Director

Bob Baker is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience in the consumer goods industry and a true multi-brand, multi-channel expert. Bob began his career in the executive training program for a major retailer in the Northeast. After experiencing both the store environment and the buying discipline he decided to try the wholesale business.

Next, as a National Sales Representative, his eyes were opened to the prestigious department store world. This move to NYC would transition him into the cosmetics industry. A successful career with Cliniqué Cosmetics took him from Manager of Sales Development to Regional Marketing Director in multiple territories.

After leaving Clinqué, Bob saw the possibility of expanding his career in the alternative channel of live shopping. At HSN he progressed rapidly through the planning and buying disciplines and then was promoted to Operating Vice President. Here Bob led the beauty department comprised of 13 buyers and successfully managed 25 brands. Having now gained valuable knowledge in multi-channel strategies, Bob and his wife, Joli, started Cosmetics Resources, Inc. CRI worked with various brands to help perfect support material and on-air presentation to maximize sales.

Bob then took a more permanent assignment with Aloette Cosmetics to help them expand beyond a party plan business into a multi channel brand. The business quickly expanded and transformed into Astral Brands - a true multi-channel multi-brand power house.

Bob is a graduate of Bowing Green State University, in Bowling Green, Ohio and resides with his wife, Joli, and son, Andrew, in Marietta, GA.

Joli Baker - Partner

Joli Baker is an industry veteran with an impressive track record of continued success. Throughout her career, Joli has been the creative force driving each successful project, and she continually amazes BRG clients as our "Ideation Leader".

Joli began her career in the health and beauty industry at Estee Lauder. At the age of 18, while attending the University of South Florida, Joli began as a part time beauty advisor. In the 16 successful years that followed, Joli was promoted 9 times with the Lauder companies to positions of increased responsibility. She spent the last six years as a Regional Marketing Director where she received top marks in productivity and profits for her management of the Southeastern market.

Joli ventured out on her own in 1999 starting Cosmetic Resources Inc. This was her foray into the world of electronic media. The focus of Cosmetic Resources was preparing, supporting and implementing all phases of TV retail shopping: guest preparation, product training, production and coordination.

In 2003 Joli became President of Pür Minerals Cosmetics. At the time Pür was a fledgling, unknown start up with little sales. She spent 7 years leading this brand from relative obscurity into a globally recognized consumer favorite in 5 countries on TV and in 1000+ retail outlets generating in excess of $30 million in retail sales annually.

Joli is a graduate of the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida and resides in Marietta, GA with her husband Bob and son Andrew.
